SINGING AT THE SAGE GATESHEAD

Good evening beautiful souls,

A week ago I was lucky enough to once again preform in the north east’s most iconic concert venue – the Sage Gateshead.

I have preformed there 2 or 3 times already with the youth choir I was in as well as my university choirs. The Sage is a beautiful architectural focal point on the river Tyne. It has two performance halls a very large one (hall 1) and a smaller one for more intimate concerts (hall 2). I’ve been lucky to be part of a couple of big concerts which took place in the stunning Hall One.

Last Wednesday the acapella choir I am currently part of, Northern Spirit Singers, got the chance to (for the second time) accompany the famous Tenor Russel Watson on a couple of his songs. We were the backing voices in different pieces including a Phantom of the Opera medley which was great fun!!!

We all had a lovely time and I feel very lucky to be part of such a talented choir!!

Does anyone else like to sing? And is part of a choir?! I’d love to know!

  1. Not a singer but I was part of an Orchestra for some years. The biggest thing we did was play at Disneyland for some kind of special event. Dont really remember what anymore. To be honest I mostly remember us getting to have access to the entire park afterwards. ๐Ÿ˜› I was young then so… lol
