Good morning beautiful souls,
I recently purchased some new Bodyshop goods, products I haven’t tried before. I thought about doing a first impressions post, but then decided to try them out a little first before reviewing them. So without further ado, here’s what I thought:
Waterproof Mascara –
I’m going to be blunt – I hate it and definitely will not be repurchasing this again! Saying that I like the brush, it makes for a an easy application and creates good lash length. However the product itself leaves me with dark circles under my eyes quite quickly and removing it at the end of the day is practically impossible without ripping out half of my eyelashes!
I didn’t need a new lipgloss but this beautiful shimmery metallic rose tone just wanted to be bought haha. The application brush is a works really well and the lipgoss has a nice consistency and sparkle to it without being uber shiny and sticky which I hate.
Vitamin E Face Cream –
I’ve been really enjoying this face cream as it is nice and light and doesn’t feel like it clogs up your skin. The reason I picked this though is because it has an SPF 30. It’s important to remember to protect our skin from the UV rays in autumn and winter too when the sun and sunburn aren’t as obvious! I use this every morning and am very likely to repurchase!
I’m going to admit I one of these people who doesn’t really pay much attention to primers, I mean I understand what they do, but as to whether my makeup is really smoother or stays on longer, I really couldn’t tell you. Saying that it does make the application process easier and does seem to soften and even out the skin well.
Have you tried any of these products?! I’d love to know 🙂
Good afternoon beautiful souls,
It’s that time of year again that I like to raise awareness & money for a charity close to my heart – namely Macmillan Cancer Support. Nearly all of us know someone who has been affected by cancer and Macmillan play such an important part in helping people get through this difficult time in their lives.
So this year I will be Going Sober for October – that means, for the full 31 days of October, I’m going completely booze-free – not one single drop! Those who know me well know I may have a slight addiction to that post work glass of wine/pint and so I think it’s fair to say that this will be a bit of a challenge for me.
But Go Sober is much more than giving up alcohol for a month. It’s raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support so that they can continue helping people living with cancer live life as fully as possibly.
I’d really appreciate any support you can give and any donation is a good donation. So if you have any pennies to spare I would be very grateful if you could head to my Go Sober Profile and send any spare change my way!
Thank you ❤
Hey there beautiful souls,
After weeks of steeling my housemates Bodyshop ginger shampoo I finally remembered to restock on my shampoo bars from The Funky Soap Shop.
I love these shampoo bars because they’re 100% natural, vegan and I’m supporting an independent small business. They also last pretty long and can be used as bodywash as well, so they’re perfect for traveling!!
I don’t have any favourites and just tent to buy different ones each time. Here’s what I got this time round:
Now as I’ve mentioned in a previous post these work really well for my hair now that it’s short, but when it was long I didn’t get on well with the shampoo bars at all. However as they’re quite cheap and can be used for bodysoap too, I highly recommend you give this company a go and see what you think!

Good evening beautiful souls,
I love Lush products and a bath without a bathbomb and some bubbles is just boring so when I was running low on bath products I knew it was time to give Lush a visit. So the other week I popped into Lush to restock my depleted store of bathbombs and I thought you might be interested to see what I bought.
One of my all time favorite, I always crumble a little of this bubble bar into a bath.
I keep repurchasing this one because it’s just so refreshing and relaxing.
Cheer Up Buttercup
I haven’t tried this little gem of a bathbomb yet but it smells amazing! I wanted to buy a whole basket full of the
Of course I had to try some bathbombs from the Easter range too. Again this one is new to me but I loved the bright colours and design of this one.
Which Came First?
At nearly £7 this is definitely the most expensive bathbomb I have ever bought!! However it was too pretty not to try and it will definitely last me for four baths so the price isn’t too bad.
Caca Rouge Henna
If you have seen my Henna Hair post you will already know that I purchased and have already used this Lush product. It is again quite pricey at just under £11 but if you think about how many hair dyes you actually get out of it it’s really good value. Henna has an interesting smell and is the messiest hair dying process I know of haha, but as it’s all natural it is nourishing and not damaging your hair. So if you want a beautiful gingery/red you must try this product!
