Good evening beautiful souls,
Today is Durham Pride and I have spent a fab day celebrating love in all its beautiful forms with a bunch of amazing people 💟
Last year I went to Newcastle Pride with this lot (it was my first pride event) and this year I was excited go to Durham Pride.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day the weather has been amazing all day. Not a single cloud in sight, just brilliant hot sunshine. Anyway, I don’t have much to say really apart from I’m glad to be part of such an amazing LGBT community and I’ve had an absolutely brilliant day, well I’m still having a fab day and thus I just wanted to share a couple of photos with you:
Makeup and festival gems at the ready!!!
The March from Durham Cathedral down to the Sands (a field by the river Wear).
Celebrating with all these beautiful souls 💟
My delicious vegan burger from the Green Guerrilla which was to die for!
As sun was out all day I luckily thought to bring sun cream with me because some of us started to turn red pretty quickly!
The vibes were all super friendly and happy. We enjoyed entertainment from Stooshe, Lloyd Daniels some fabulous drag queens as well as many other acts…
Now we’re just having a bite to eat before heading out to town for a bit. I hope you have all also had a wonderful sunny happy day!!

The other week my parents came over for dinner and brought me a little present. I’d been saying for ages that I needed to de-weed the garden and so they showed up with a little trowel and my own cute gardening gloves! The back garden almost looked like a little wilderness and I couldn’t wait to tidy it up! So on a sunny day off I got my fingers dirty and took out all the weeds!
After a good two hours of gardening, here are the after photos; from a weed infested garden, to a tidier, cleaner looking back yard! Although surprisingly tiring work I enjoyed myself and can now enjoy soaking up the sun again on nice sunny days!
All that is left to do now is the front garden!

Good morning my beautiful readers! It’s around 8am as I write this and the sun which has put a smile on my face compared to yesterdays miserable weather. A bright fresh spring morning, it fills me with positive energy – today is going to be a good day!
I have started my day of well with a delicious smoothie bowl made from frozen mixed berries, banana, almond milk and cocoa powder, and then topped with oats, nuts, chia seeds, banana and pomegranate – yum!
It’s my day off today but I thought I’d start the day by going to the gym. I signed up to my local gym on Wednesday evening and had my induction yesterday. My induction was mostly just a tour of the equipment really as I knew how to work the majority of the machines already; however I did ask to try the weighted squats – bad decision haha. I thought I’d just have a quick try and that’d be it, but no, the gym instructor added more and more weights and got me to do more squats than I’d planned on; which to be fair was fun, but not afterwards as my legs felt like jelly for the rest of the day. This morning I can feel the pain in my muscles, but it’s a good pain. It feels good to know I worked on something, so I’m not complaining. Today, I need be at the gym for 9am as I have booked in for a programming session. I have never done this before and am curious to see what it’s like to follow a specific workout routine. If you’d like I will share my plan on here?!
Well I just wanted to update you on what I was up to, I had better run and get ready now! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
